Verses in Exile

Filmed in Tibetan refugee settlements across India, Verses In Exile discovers what life means for Tibetans living as refugees today, through the eyes of talented young hip hop artists. At the center of the film are brother and sister, Ugen and Dickyi, also known as “Namgyal Nangmi,” A Tibetan language Hip Hop duo. Raised in Tibetan settlements and orphanages in India these young artists have lived through extreme challenges and have come out of it as both brilliant artists and as worthy young role models for Tibetans living in exile around the globe.
